It's time for a tall one
No I'm not referring to a beer. ;-)
What's up with the new generation of paperback books that are a full inch to an inch & a half taller than conventional paperbacks? Is it cheaper to make them taller than thicker? Jeez.
When I purchased Vince Flynn's Act of Treason it just felt weird. I would have much preferred a thicker book than a taller one. But that's just me.
And that's my 2 cents. Keep the change. ;-)

Maybe some marketing experts figured out that a taller, thinner book appears shorter, appealing to the impatience of your average American Consumer? What do you think?

There's just no telling. You would think that it would make it difficult for the newer paperbacks to fit in conventional book sales racks.
