What would Jesus wiki?

Wired News posted this article about a new site called Conservapedia--the so-called conservative alternative to Wikipedia .  It was much too bizarre not to re-post here.

I'm getting to the point that hardly anything surprises me anymore.

terapad.com

I just learned about this free blogging platform.

Here's what they say about themselves:

Terapad.com does everything you'd like your personal blog or corporate site to do, and does it a lot better than what you currently have - all free of charge.

We give away the most features (hundreds), the most bandwidth (10 GB/month) and the most storage (2 GB). There are no downloads required, no installation and of course, no spyware or spam, ever.

Yes, the free version has ads. But so what, it's free!

Bottom line: I don't intend to ditch my Typepad account anytime soon, but Terapad is definitely an impressive free blogging service.

Blackberry Pearl vs. Palm Treo

Dear Santa;

I really like the Blackberry Pearl and the Palm Treo , but I can't decide which phone to ask for.  My goal is to get better organized and to have fast & easy-to-use e-mail and web features.  Something that looks & feels like Windows would be a plus.  And I could care less about taking pictures or recording videos.  Maybe you or one of your pesky elves could leave a suggestion or two in the comments section.

BTW, I'm pretty sure that I've been more nice than naughty this year.  ;-)

Your bud,
Insane Zamboni (aka Mark)

Ok Go (Legos version)

We all knew it would happen sooner or later.  Here's the original version of Chicago's Fab Four dancing to A Million Ways in the backyard.  Posted below is the Legos version.  ;-)

smplr

Check out smplr.

"It's a simple homepage search engine that sends queries to Google."  According to the description, smplr loads faster than Google--that's it's major drawing card.

Keiskamma altarpiece

Fom PBS:
Traditionally, an altarpiece is made to stand behind the high altar at churches to show images that help people in their worship. The "Keiskamma" altarpiece, on display at St. James Cathedral in Chicago through September 20, was created as a symbol of hope and resurrection for those contending with the devastation of AIDS by 120 South African women from the coastal town of Hamburg. Dr. Carol Hofmeyr, a South African doctor who conceived the idea for this project as a tribute to her patients with HIV and their families, describes the religious symbolism contained within the altarpiece’s massive design and art.

OK GO DANCE MILLION WAYS

Their treadmill video became an Internet phenom!

This is marketing at it's best--an innovative way of selling music--free videos.  You gotta love it!

Reminiscent of the cheesy Monkee's television show, here's another soupy dose of the energetic, fun-loving, pop band, Ok Go.

SIM+SWEATSHOP

A special word of thanks to Jonny Baker for providing the heads up about this site.

There's nothing like a little reality therapy to put things in perspective. It's an imaginative simulation experience:
